Geostatistical Analysis for Monitoring and Modelling Atmospheric Pollutants

Urbanisation and industrialization are predominant indicators of regional growth with some adverse effect especially in ambient air quality often prone to contamination by emissions. Vehicular emissions have been identified as a consistent pollutant urban areas. However, meteorological conditions such rainfall also affect pollution concentration level. The aim was identify relationships between factor like rainfall, vehicular load atmospheric Effurun City, Delta State. In-situ sampling CO, VOC NO2 Geostatistical analysis were used obtain level the selected variables which predict spatial trend for efficient monitoring. From our results, it observed that Iterigbi, Ages Gas Okuokoko Junctions had highest VOC, CO respectively. At residential areas, Iterigbi while CO.
